Explore Elmer’s Big Parade Plymouth and discover 40 individually-designed Elmer sculptures inspired by the much-loved book character Elmer the Patchwork Elephant. Elmer’s Big Parade Plymouth celebrates 30 years since the Elmer book series by celebrated childrens author and artist David McKee was first published by Andersen Press.

Elmer sculptures have been designed by well-known and emerging local and national artists with equally artistic Learning Herd Elmers created by school children and young people. Follow the trail around Plymouth and see how many Elmers you can find.

Use the app to explore Elmers Big Parade Plymouth, find and unlock Elmer sculptures and pick up exciting rewards on the way. Vote for your favourite design, upload your photos to the Elmer Gallery, view your trail progress and discover the inspiration behind each design.

St Lukes Hospice Plymouth are working in partnership with Wild in Art and Andersen Press to bring this fun, family-friendly art trail to life. At the end of the trail many of the beautifully designed Elmers will be auctioned to raise funds for St Lukes Hospice Plymouth (registered charity number 280681), to support their vital work.
